حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: " اتَّخَذَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَاتَمًا مِنْ وَرِقٍ فَكَانَ فِي يَدِهِ ". ثُمَّ كَانَ فِي يَدِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ، ثُمَّ كَانَ فِي يَدِ عُمَرَ، ثُمَّ كَانَ فِي يَدِ عُثْمَانَ نَقْشُهُ مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ اللهِ (١)،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) had a ring made of silver, which remained in his hand. After the Noble Prophet (ﷺ), that ring remained in the hand of Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him), then in the hand of Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), and then in the hand of Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him), in order. On it was engraved: "Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah."
