Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " الَّذِينَ يَصْنَعُونَ هَذِهِ الصُّوَرَ يُعَذَّبُونَ وَيُقَالُ لَهُمْ: أَحْيُوا مَا خَلَقْتُمْ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "These image-makers will be subjected to punishment on the Day of Resurrection, and it will be said to them: 'Give life to what you have created.'"
