حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: " اتَّخَذَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، خَاتَمًا مِنْ ذَهَبٍ وَكَانَ يَجْعَلُ فَصَّهُ، مِمَّا يَلِي كَفَّهُ فَاتَّخَذَهُ النَّاسُ فَرَمَى بِهِ، وَاتَّخَذَ خَاتَمًا مِنْ وَرِقٍ " (١)، ،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) had a ring made of gold. He would turn its stone towards the palm of his hand. The people also had rings made, upon which the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) discarded it and had a ring made of silver.
