حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ إِدْرِيسَ، أَخْبَرَنَا عِمْرَانُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ حُدَيْرٍ، وَوَكِيعٌ الْمَعْنَى قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا عِمْرَانُ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عُطَارِدٍ، قَالَ: وَكِيعٌ السَّدُوسِيِّ أَبِي الْبَزَرِيِّ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ عَنِ الشُّرْبِ قَائِمًا؟ فَقَالَ: قَدْ " كُنَّا عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، نَشْرَبُ قِيَامًا، وَنَأْكُلُ وَنَحْنُ نَسْعَى " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
Yazid bin Atard says that I asked Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) about the ruling of drinking water while standing, so he replied: "In the blessed era of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), we used to drink water while standing and eat food while walking." (Because during the busy times of jihad, where was the time for eating and drinking?)
