حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، قَالَ: كُنَّا مَعَ ابْنِ عُمَرَ بِضَجْنَانَ، فَأَقَامَ الصَّلَاةَ، ثُمَّ نَادَى: أَلَا صَلُّوا فِي الرِّحَالِ، كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَأْمُرُ مُنَادِيًا فِي اللَّيْلَةِ الْمَطِيرَةِ أَوِ الْبَارِدَةِ: " أَلَا صَلُّوا فِي الرِّحَالِ " (١)، ،

Translation

English translation

Nafi' reports that once in the valley of Dajnan, Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) had the call for prayer announced, then made this proclamation: "Pray in your tents." And he narrated this hadith from the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) that the Prophet (ﷺ), while traveling on cold nights or rainy nights, would have the call for prayer announced and then proclaim: "Pray in your tents."
