حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ،: " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، عَنْ بَيْعِ الثَّمَرِ بِالتَّمْرِ " قَالَ سُفْيَانُ: " كَذَا حَفِظْنَا الثَّمَرِ بِالتَّمْرِ "، وَأَخْبَرَهُمْ زَيْدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ: " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَخَّصَ فِي الْعَرَايَا " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) forbade selling dates that are still on the trees in exchange for already cut dates according to a specified estimate. Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) says that Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated this hadith to me, that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) permitted the sale of ‘ariyah (dates on the tree) according to an estimate.
