English translation
Salim (may Allah have mercy on him) says that if someone came to my father, Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), who was about to set out on a journey, he would say to him, "Come closer so that I may bid you farewell in the same manner as the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) used to bid us farewell." Then he would say, "I entrust your religion, your trustworthiness, and the outcome of your deeds to Allah."
