حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَيُّوبُ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: " سَبَّقَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَيْنَ الْخَيْلِ، فَأَرْسَلَ مَا ضُمِّرَ مِنْهَا مِنَ الْحَفْيَاءِ - أَوِ الحَيْفَاءِ - إِلَى ثَنِيَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ، وَأَرْسَلَ مَا لَمْ يُضَمَّرْ مِنْهَا مِنْ ثَنِيَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ إِلَى مَسْجِدِ بَنِي زُرَيْقٍ " قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ: " فَكُنْتُ فَارِسًا يَوْمَئِذٍ فَسَبَقْتُ النَّاسَ طَفَّفَ بِيَ الْفَرَسُ، ، مَسْجِدَ بَنِي زُرَيْقٍ " (١)، ، . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) organized a horse race. Among them, the lean horses were designated to race from "Hafyaa" to Thaniyyat al-Wada', and those that were not lean-bodied had their race from Thaniyyat al-Wada' to the Mosque of Banu Zuraiq. At that time, I had started horse riding, and I won that race; my horse brought me close to the Mosque of Banu Zuraiq.
