Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that a man asked the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ): "O Messenger of Allah! What clothing can a person in the state of ihram wear?" Or he asked: "What clothing should a person in ihram avoid?" The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said: "A person in ihram cannot wear a shirt, trousers, turban, or leather socks, except if he does not find sandals. Whoever does not find sandals should cut the leather socks below the ankles and wear them. Likewise, a cap or any garment dyed with wars (a kind of grass) or saffron should also not be worn by a person in ihram."
