Ubaid bin Umair (may Allah have mercy on him) once asked Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), "I see you only touching the two corners, the Black Stone and the Yemeni Corner. What is the reason for this?" Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) replied: "If I do so, it is because I heard the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) say that touching these two corners wipes away a person's sins. And I also heard the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) say that whoever performs seven circuits of Tawaf, counting them, and then offers two units of prayer after Tawaf, it is equal to freeing a slave. And I heard the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) say that for every step a person takes or puts down, ten good deeds are written for him, ten sins are erased, and ten ranks are raised."
