Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا (١) هُشَيْمٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا (٢) يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " مَنْ أَعْتَقَ نَصِيبًا لَهُ فِي مَمْلُوكٍ، كُلِّفَ أَنْ يُتِمَّ (٣) عِتْقَهُ بِقِيمَةِ عَدْلٍ " (٤)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Whoever frees his share of a slave, he will be obliged to free the slave completely according to the price set by just men."
