حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عُمَارَةَ بْنَ عُمَيْرٍ، يُحَدِّثُ، عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: لَا يَجْعَلَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ لِلشَّيْطَانِ جُزْءًا، يَرَى أَنَّ حَقًّا عَلَيْهِ الِانْصِرَافُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ، " لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَكْثَرُ انْصِرَافِهِ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: None of you should give Satan any power over himself, not even to the extent of a portion, and he should not think that it is necessary for him to return only from the right side. I have seen the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that his return was often from the left side.
