حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ بَحْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي رَزِينٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، قَالَ: " كُنْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْغَارِ، فَنَزَلَتْ عَلَيْهِ: وَالْمُرْسَلَاتِ عُرْفًا فَقَرَأْتُهَا قَرِيبًا مِمَّا أَقْرَأَنِي، غَيْرَ، ، أَنِّي لَسْتُ أَدْرِي بِأَيِّ الْآيَتَيْنِ خَتَمَ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I was with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in a cave when Surah Mursalat was revealed to the Prophet (peace be upon him), and I memorized it as soon as it came from the mouth of the Prophet (peace be upon him). However, I do not remember which verse the Prophet (peace be upon him) ended with « ﴿فَبِأَيِّ حَدِيثٍ بَعْدَهُ يُؤْمِنُونَ﴾ » or « ﴿وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ارْكَعُوا لَا يَرْكَعُونَ﴾ ».
