حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ زِرٍّ، عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، قَالَ: " أَخَذْتُ مِنْ فِي رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، سَبْعِينَ سُورَةً لَا يُنَازِعُنِي فِيهَا أَحَدٌ " (٢)،

Translation

English translation

Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) says that I have recited seventy surahs after hearing them from the blessed mouth of the Prophet (ﷺ), and no one can dispute with me regarding them.
