حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي قَيْسٍ، عَنْ هُزَيْلٍ، قَالَ: جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى أَبِي مُوسَى، وَسَلْمَانَ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ فَسَأَلَهُمَا عَنِ ابْنَةٍ، وَابْنَةِ ابْنٍ، وَأُخْتٍ، فَقَالَا: لِلْابْنَةِ النِّصْفُ، وَلِلْأُخْتِ النِّصْفُ، وَائْتِ عَبْدَ اللهِ، فَإِنَّهُ سَيُتَابِعُنَا فَأَتَى عَبْدَ اللهِ فَأَخْبَرَهُ فَقَالَ: قَدْ ضَلَلْتُ إِذًا وَمَا أَنَا مِنَ الْمُهْتَدِينَ، لَأَقْضِيَنَّ فِيهَا بِقَضَاءِ رَسُولِ اللهِ، ، صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَوْ قَالَ: قَضَاءَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - كَذَا قَالَ سُفْيَانُ -: " لِلْابْنَةِ النِّصْفُ، وَلِابْنَةِ الِابْنِ السُّدُسُ، وَمَا بَقِيَ فَلِلْأُخْتِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
Abu ‘Amr ash-Shaibani said: The owner of this house - meaning Ibn Mas'ood - told me:
I said: O Messenger of Allah, which deed is best? He said: "Prayer offered on time.”
