Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: ذُكِرَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجُلٌ نَامَ لَيْلَةً (١) حَتَّى أَصْبَحَ، قَالَ: " ذَاكَ رَجُلٌ بَالَ الشَّيْطَانُ فِي أُذُنِهِ أَوْ أُذُنَيْهِ " (٢)،

English translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah from
The Prophet (ﷺ): “What a bad thing for one of you to say: I forgot such and such a verse. Rather he was caused to forget.”
