Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، وَيَعْلَى، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ، قَالَ: أَتَى عَبْدُ اللهِ، الشَّامَ، فَقَالَ لَهُ نَاسٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ حِمْصٍ: اقْرَأْ عَلَيْنَا. فَقَرَأَ عَلَيْهِمْ سُورَةَ يُوسُفَ، فَقَام رَجُلٌ (٢) مِنَ الْقَوْمِ: وَاللهِ مَا، ، هَكَذَا أُنْزِلَتْ فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ: وَيْحَكَ لَقَدْ قَرَأْتُهَا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ هَكَذَا، فَقَالَ: " أَحْسَنْتَ "، فَبَيْنَا هُوَ يُرَاجِعُهُ، إِذْ وَجَدَ مِنْهُ رِيحَ الْخَمْرِ، فَقَالَ: أَتَشْرَبُ الرِّجْسَ، وَتُكَذِّبُ بِالْقُرْآنِ (١) ؟ وَاللهِ لَا تُزَاوِلُنِي (٢) حَتَّى أَجْلِدَكَ. فَجَلَدَهُ الْحَدَّ (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that 'Abdullah said:
Mention was made to The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) of a man who slept all night until morning came. He said: "That is a man in whose ear - or ears - the Shaitan urinated.”
