Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، عَنْ قَيْسٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، قَالَ: كُنَّا نَغْزُو مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَنَحْنُ شَبَابٌ،، ، وَلَيْسَ لَنَا نِسَاءٌ، فَقُلْنَا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَلَا نَسْتَخْصِي؟ " فَنَهَانَا عَنْ ذَلِكَ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that lbn Mas'ood (رضي الله عنه) said:
I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: “Verily those who show the most restraint at the time of killing are the people of faith.”
