حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ. قَالَ (٢) : وَأَخْبَرَنِي هُشَيْمٌ، عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ بْنِ أَرْطَاةَ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ عُتَيْبَةَ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى، أَنَّ عُمَرَ قَالَ: هِيَ سُنَّةُ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَعْنِي الْمُتْعَةَ - وَلَكِنِّي أَخْشَى أَنْ يُعَرِّسُوا بِهِنَّ تَحْتَ الْأَرَاكِ، ثُمَّ يَرُوحُوا بِهِنَّ حُجَّاجًا (٣) .،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated from Abu Moosa that `Umar said:
It was the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), i.e., tamattu` (in Hajj), but I am afraid that they will have intimate relations with them (their wives) beneath the Arak trees, then they will bring them for Hajj.
