Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدٌ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، أَنَّ عَلِيَّ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ، حَدَّثَهُمْ أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ أَخْبَرَهُ: " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُتِيَ بِكَتِفٍ مَشْوِيَّةٍ، فَأَكَلَ مِنْهَا، فَتَمَلَّى، ثُمَّ صَلَّى، وَمَا تَوَضَّأَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that Ibn ‘Abbas (رضي الله عنه) said:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) had a kohl container from which he would apply kohl when going to sleep, three times in each eye.
