Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، عَنْ صَالِحٍ، مَوْلَى التَّوْأَمَةِ،، ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ: أَنَّهُمْ تَمَارَوْا فِي صَوْمِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ عَرَفَةَ، " فَأَرْسَلَتْ أُمُّ الْفَضْلِ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِلَبَنٍ فَشَرِبَ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that Ibn ‘Abbas (رضي الله عنه) said:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "When one of you eats food, let him not wipe his hand with a cloth until he has licked it or had it licked for him.”
