Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، وَحَجَّاجٌ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ يَحْيَى أَبِي (٢) عُمَرَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الدُّبَّاءِ، وَالْمُزَفَّتِ، وَالنَّقِيرِ " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas (رضي الله عنه) that
A bowl of thareed was brought to the Prophet (ﷺ) and he said: "Eat from the edges and do not eat from the middle, for the blessing descends in the middle." Ibn Ja'far said: "From the edges or from the sides."
