the Prophet (ﷺ) did not set a specific punishment for drinking alcohol, Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنه) said: A man drank alcohol and got drunk, and he was found staggering in the street. He was brought to the Prophet (ﷺ) , but when he came level with the house of 'Abbas, he got free and entered upon ‘Abbas (رضي الله عنه), who held him from the back.
