Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عِكْرِمَةُ، مَوْلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، زَعَمَ أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ، أَخْبَرَهُ: أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَسَمَ غَنَمًا يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ فِي أَصْحَابِهِ، وَقَالَ: " اذْبَحُوهَا لِعُمْرَتِكُمْ، فَإِنَّهَا تُجْزِئُ عَنْكُمْ " فَأَصَابَ سَعْدَ بْنَ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ تَيْسٌ (١)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنه) that
When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was taken on the Night Journey (Isra'), a beautiful fragrance came to him.... and he narrated a similar report.
