حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَبِي يَزِيدَ، عَنْ سِبَاعِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، أَنَّ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ ثَابِتِ بْنِ سِبَاعٍ أَخْبَرَهُ، أَنَّ أُمَّ كُرْزٍ أَخْبَرَتْهُ، أَنَّهَا سَأَلَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْعَقِيقَةِ؟ فَقَالَ: " يُعَقُّ (٢) عَنِ الْغُلَامِ شَاتَانِ، وَعَنِ الْأُنْثَى وَاحِدَةٌ، وَلَا يَضُرُّكُمْ (٣) أَذُكْرَانًا (٤) كُنَّ أَوْ إِنَاثًا "، (٥)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Umm Karz (may Allah be pleased with her) that I asked the Prophet (ﷺ) about 'Aqiqah. He said: "For a boy, two goats should be sacrificed for 'Aqiqah, and for a girl, one goat. And it does not matter whether the animal is male or female."
