حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، وَعَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا، ، ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَطَاءٌ، عَنْ حَبِيبَةَ بِنْتِ مَيْسَرَةَ بْنِ أَبِي خُثَيْمٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ بَنِي كُرْزٍ الْكَعْبِيَّةِ، أَنَّهَا سَأَلَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْعَقِيقَةِ؟ فَقَالَتْ: " عَنِ الْغُلَامِ شَاتَانِ مُكَافَأَتَانِ، وَعَنِ الْجَارِيَةِ شَاةٌ "، قُلْتُ لِعَطَاءٍ: مَا الْمُكَافَأَتَانِ؟ قَالَ: الْمِثْلَانِ، قَالَ حَجَّاجٌ فِي حَدِيثِهِ: وَالضَّأْنُ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنَ الْمَعْزِ، وَذَكَرَ أَنَّهَا أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ إِنَاثِهَا، قَالَ: وَنُحِبُّ أَنْ يَجْعَلَهُ سَوَادَهَا مِنْهُ (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Umm Karz (may Allah be pleased with her) that I asked the Prophet (peace be upon him) about 'Aqiqah. He said: "For a boy, two goats should be sacrificed for 'Aqiqah, and for a girl, one goat."
