Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الطَّبَاعِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يُسَافِرَ لَا (١) يُسَافِرُ إِلَّا يَوْمَ الْخَمِيسِ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) intended to set out on a journey, he would depart on a Thursday.
