حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ، ، عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ (١) : إِنَّ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ قَدْ أَنْزَلَ فِي الشِّعْرِ مَا أَنْزَلَ، فَقَالَ: " إِنَّ الْمُؤْمِنَ يُجَاهِدُ بِسَيْفِهِ وَلِسَانِهِ، وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ، لَكَأَنَّ مَا تَرْمُونَهُمْ (٢) بِهِ نَضْحُ النَّبْلِ " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Denounce the polytheists through poetry; a Muslim strives with both his life and wealth. By Him in Whose hand is the life of Muhammad (ﷺ), the verses you recite about the polytheists seem as if you are showering arrows upon them."
