Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) that Abdullah bin Abi Hadrad (may Allah be pleased with him) owed him some debt. Once, they met on the road and Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) caught hold of him. During their argument, their voices were raised. Meanwhile, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) passed by. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) gestured to me and said, "Forgive half of his debt." So he forgave half and took the remaining half of the money.
