حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي يَزِيدَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ سِبَاعِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ قَالَ: " سَمِعْتُ أَهْلَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ يَطُوفُونَ وَهُمْ يَقُولُونَ:، [البحر الرجز]، الْيَوْمُ قَرْنَا عَيْنَا ... بِقْرَعِ (١) الْمَرْوَتَيْنَا " (٢)،

Translation

English translation

Siba' bin Thabit says that I heard people in the time of ignorance reciting this verse during Tawaf: "Today we are cooling our eyes, for we are knocking at Marwah."
