English translation
It is narrated from Asma that on the occasion of the solar eclipse, the Prophet (peace be upon him) led a prayer in which he stood for a long time, then bowed (ruku) and that too was prolonged, then he raised his head and stood for a long time, then again performed a long ruku, then raised his head and went into prostration (sajda) and performed a long sajda. Then he stood up and again stood for a long time, then performed two long rukus, then raised his head and went into sajda and performed a long sajda, then raised his head and performed another long sajda. After completing the prayer, he said that during the prayer, Paradise was brought so close to me that if I had stretched out my hand, I could have plucked a bunch from it. Then Hell was brought so close that I began to say, "O Lord! Am I also among them?" I saw a woman in it whom a cat was scratching. I asked, "What is her story?" I was told that this woman had tied up the cat and it died in that state. She neither fed it herself nor let it go so it could eat the insects of the earth.
