حَدَّثَنَا عَتَّابُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْمُبَارَكِ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ نَوْفَلٍ، عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ الْمُنْذِرِ، عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، قَالَتْ: " كُنَّا نُؤَدِّي زَكَاةَ الْفِطْرِ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُدَّيْنِ مِنْ قَمْحٍ، بِالْمُدِّ الَّذِي تَقْتَاتُونَ بِهِ " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Asma that during the blessed era of the Prophet (peace be upon him), we used to give two mudd of wheat as Sadaqat-ul-Fitr, according to the same mudd measurement with which you measure.
