حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، وَفَاطِمَةُ (١) ، عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ، قَالَتْ: " صَنَعْتُ سُفْرَةَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي بَيْتِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ حِينَ أَرَادَ أَنْ يُهَاجِرَ (٢) ". قَالَتْ: " فَلَمْ نَجِدْ لِسُفْرَتِهِ وَلَا لِسِقَائِهِ مَا نَرْبِطُهُمَا بِهِ ". قَالَتْ: " فَقُلْتُ لِأَبِي بَكْرٍ: وَاللهِ مَا أَجِدُ شَيْئًا أَرْبِطُهُ بِهِ إِلَّا نِطَاقِي ". قَالَ: " فَقَالَ: شُقِّيهِ بِاثْنَيْنِ، فَارْبِطِي بِوَاحِدٍ السِّقَاءَ، وَالْآخَرِ (٣) السُّفْرَةَ، فَلِذَلِكَ سُمِّيَتْ ذَاتَ النِّطَاقَيْنِ " (٤)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Asma that when the Prophet (peace be upon him) intended to migrate, I prepared the travel provisions for the Prophet (peace be upon him) in the house of Abu Bakr. I had to tie the travel provisions and the mouth of the water-skin, but I could not find anything for this purpose. I said to Abu Bakr that I am not finding anything to tie the travel provisions except my waistband. He said, "Tear it into two pieces; tie the mouth of the water-skin with one piece and the travel provisions with the other." Because of this, I was given the name "Dhat an-Nitaqain" (the possessor of two waistbands).
