حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ يَعْلَى بْنَ حَكِيمٍ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ صُهَيْرَةَ (١) بِنْتِ جَيْفَرٍ، قَالَتْ: دَخَلْنَا (٢) عَلَى صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتِ حُيَيٍّ، فَسَأَلْتُ (٣) عَنْ نَبِيذِ الْجَرِّ، فَقَالَتْ: " حَرَّمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَبِيذَ الْجَرِّ " (٤)،
Translation
English translation
Sahira bint Jaifar says that once I went to Safiyyah bint Huyayy and asked her about the ruling of nabidh (fermented drink) in a jug. She replied that the Prophet (peace be upon him) declared nabidh in a jug to be forbidden.
