Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ (٢) يَعْنِي ابْنَ عُمَرَ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ جَحْشٍ، أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ تُرَجِّلُ (٣) رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَالَتْ (٤) مَرَّةً: " كُنْتُ أُرَجِّلُ رَأْسَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فِي مِخْضَبٍ مِنْ صُفْرٍ " (٥)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Zainab (may Allah be pleased with her) that she used to comb the hair of the Prophet (ﷺ) while the Prophet (ﷺ) was performing ablution in a brass tub.
