حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ رِبْعِيِّ بْنِ حِرَاشٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَتْ: دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ سَاهِمُ الْوَجْهِ. قَالَتْ: فَحَسِبْتُ أَنَّ ذَلِكَ مِنْ وَجَعٍ، فَقُلْتُ: يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ، مَا لَكَ سَاهِمُ الْوَجْهِ؟ قَالَ: " مِنْ أَجْلِ الدَّنَانِيرِ السَّبْعَةِ الَّتِي أَتَتْنَا أَمْسِ، أَمْسَيْنَا وَهِيَ فِي خُصْمِ الْفِرَاشِ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that once the Prophet (ﷺ) came to me and the color of his face was pale. I thought perhaps he was in some discomfort, so I asked, "O Messenger of Allah, what is the matter? The color of your face is pale." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Actually, seven dinars remained with me which came to us yesterday. Evening has come and they are still lying on our bed."
