حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ (١) ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحُرُّ بْنُ الصَّيَّاحِ، عَنْ هُنَيْدَةَ بْنِ خَالِدٍ، عَنِ امْرَأَتِهِ، عَنْ بَعْضِ أَزْوَاجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَتْ: " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَصُومُ (٢) تِسْعَ ذِي الْحِجَّةِ وَيَوْمَ عَاشُورَاءَ، وَثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ، أَوَّلَ اثْنَيْنِ مِنَ الشَّهْرِ وَخَمِيسَيْنِ (٣) " (٤)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Hafsa that the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to fast on the tenth of Muharram, the ninth of Dhul-Hijjah, and three days every month: Monday and twice on Thursday.
