حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا نَافِعُ بْنُ عُمَرَ وَهُوَ، ، الْجُمَحِيُّ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، أَنَّ بَعْضَ أَزْوَاجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَلَا أَعْلَمُهَا إِلَّا حَفْصَةَ سُئِلَتْ عَنْ قِرَاءَةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَتْ: " إِنَّكُمْ لَا تُطِيقُونَهَا ". قَالَتْ (١) : {الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ} [الفاتحة: ٣] تَعْنِي التَّرْتِيلَ (٢) (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Abi Mulaika that, according to my belief, someone asked one of the noble wives of the Prophet (peace be upon him), namely Hafsa, about the recitation of the Prophet (peace be upon him). She replied, "You do not have the strength to recite as he did." Then she recited the first three verses of Surah Al-Fatiha, breaking them up (pausing at each verse) and demonstrated it.
