Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَامِرُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنَامَ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ، يَتَوَضَّأُ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ، وَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ، أَوْ يَشْرَبَ (١) ، غَسَلَ يَدَهُ، ثُمَّ أَكَلَ وَشَرِبَ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Prophet (ﷺ) wanted to sleep or eat something in a state requiring ghusl, he would perform ablution as for prayer.
