Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا قَتَادَةُ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ سَلَمَةَ (٢) : أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنِ الصَّلاةِ بِالْبَطْحَاءِ، إِذَا لَمْ يُدْرِكِ الصَّلاةَ مَعَ، ، الْإِمَامِ؟ قَالَ: " رَكْعَتَانِ، سُنَّةَ أَبِي الْقَاسِمِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
Yahya bin al-Jazzar narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنه), although he did not hear it directly from him, that
A lamb wanted to pass in front of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) whilst he was praying, and he tried to stop it.
