Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ أَبِي قُرَّةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ بِلَالٍ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّهِ، فِي قِصَّةٍ ذَكَرَهَا فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " مَنْ أَشَارَ بِحَدِيدَةٍ إِلَى أَحَدٍ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ، يُرِيدُ قَتْلَهُ فَقَدْ وَجَبَ دَمُهُ " (٥)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) say: Whoever points a sharp-edged weapon at a Muslim with the intention of killing him, then it is permissible to kill him.
