حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْأَشْجَعِيُّ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ مَرْثَدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: قُلْتُ (٢) : يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ وَافَقْتُ لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ، مَا أَقُولُ فِيهَا؟ قَالَ: " قُولِي: اللهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that once she submitted in the court of the Messenger, "O Prophet of Allah! Tell me, if I attain Laylat al-Qadr, what supplication should I make in it?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "You should supplicate: O Allah! You are Most Forgiving, You love forgiveness, so forgive me."
