Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، أَنَّهُ أَخْبَرَهُ مِرَارًا، أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ، أَخْبَرَتْهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقُولُ: " مَا أَصَابَ الْمُسْلِمَ مِنْ شَوْكَةٍ، فَمَا فَوْقَهَا فَهُوَ لَهُ كَفَّارَةٌ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Whenever a thorn pricks a Muslim or he suffers any affliction even less than that, it becomes an expiation for his sins.
