حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، وَالْمُنْذِرِ بْنِ أَبِي الْمُنْذِرِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَظَرَ إِلَى الْقَمَرِ فَقَالَ: " يَا عَائِشَةُ اسْتَعِيذِي بِاللهِ مِنْ شَرِّ هَذَا فَإِنَّ هَذَا الْغَاسِقُ إِذَا وَقَبَ " (٢)،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that once the Prophet (ﷺ) held my hand and showed me the moon which was rising, and said, "Aisha! Seek refuge with Allah from the evil of this dark night when it overspreads."
