Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Abdullah bin Abi Musa (and according to the more correct opinion, Abdullah bin Abi Qais), "who was a freed slave of Banu Nasr bin Muawiyah," that Umm al-Mu'mineen Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said to me: Never abandon the night prayer (Qiyam al-Lail), because the Prophet (ﷺ) never used to leave it. Even if he was ill or did not feel energetic, he would still recite it while sitting.
