Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Umm al-Mu'mineen Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that once the Prophet (ﷺ) was sitting and eating food with his six companions (may Allah be pleased with them) when a Bedouin came and ate all the food in just two bites. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: If he had recited Bismillah, this food would have sufficed for all of you. Therefore, when any one of you eats food, he should recite Bismillah over it. If he forgets to recite Bismillah at the beginning, then when he remembers, he should say: "Bismillah fi awwalihi wa akhirihi."
