حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ،، عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ مُحَمَّدٍ (٣) ، عَنْ عَمْرَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: " مَا عَلِمْنَا بِدَفْنِ (٤) رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَتَّى سَمِعْنَا صَوْتَ الْمَسَاحِي مِنْ آخِرِ اللَّيْلِ، لَيْلَةِ الْأَرْبِعَاءِ " قَالَ ابْنُ إِسْحَاقَ: وَالْمَسَاحِي الْمُرُورُ (٥)، ،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that we women did not know where the burial of the Prophet (ﷺ) would take place, until after the night of Tuesday had begun, in the last part of the night, we heard the sounds of people passing by.
