حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ الْحَدَّادُ، عَنْ كَهْمَسٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ، قَالَ قُلْتُ لِعَائِشَةَ: " أَيُّ النَّاسِ (١) كَانَ أَحَبَّ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟، قَالَتْ: " عَائِشَةُ "، قُلْتُ: " فَمِنَ الرِّجَالِ؟ "، قَالَتْ: " أَبُوهَا " (٢)، ،

Translation

English translation

Abdullah bin Shaqiq (may Allah have mercy on him) says that I asked Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), "Who was the most beloved to the Prophet (peace be upon him)?" She replied, "Aisha." He says, "I asked, 'Among the men?'" She said, "Aisha's father."
