Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ الْأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: " تُوُفِّيَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَدِرْعُهُ مَرْهُونَةٌ بِثَلَاثِينَ صَاعًا مِنْ شَعِيرٍ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Prophet (ﷺ) passed away, his coat of mail was held in pledge for thirty saa’ of barley.
