Abdullah bin Shaqiq (may Allah have mercy on him) says that I asked Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) about the voluntary prayers of the Prophet (ﷺ), so she said that in the night prayer, the Prophet (ﷺ) would stand for a long time and sit for quite a while; the Prophet (ﷺ) would recite, bow, and prostrate while standing, and he would also recite, bow, and prostrate while sitting.
